Excellent and thoughtful analysis again, Kyle. You have an uncanny way of articulating what’s been rumbling around in my mind. And you’ve helped me understand better my aversion to most of those you called out. Thanks for naming names which few will do.

The list of hook narratives is also helpful and fodder for more thought. I’ll defect from you on only one and it’s vaccines. I’ve been selectively skeptical about vaccines for decades (like why give Hep B or HPV to children who aren’t sexually active). I’ve only become more skeptical about the integrity of the industry that makes vaccines, and don’t believe they are worth the risk. But I’m amenable to being convinced otherwise…just haven’t seen evidence of benefit but plenty of harm.

Keep going. Your content is always so enlightening and much appreciated.

A few things.

First, I feel like this broadcast was a permission slip to “defect”, if one will, from a lot of the controls that multiple other broadcasters have put upon us with regards to expectation in what we do. The fact that you mentioned the anti-semitic problem, especially early on with thinkers like Clif High, cult leaders like Nick Fuentes, and others (including folks that I won’t mention here), allowed me to be able to cut those strings and be able to go back to my normal position of supporting a country without being ideologically a slave to one thought or the other. I have to give props to Ron Coleman as well for helping to bring me back from those malign thoughts.

Second, some of the topics mentioned as being “hooks” to get into people’s minds (virology being fake, flat earth specifically) I was able to identify personally with one or two folk of my own. It’s quite sad to realize that some people don’t understand things that are already established as factual.

Third, I believe that there are some “alt-media” folk that have been compromised. Not necessarily by outside forces, but by people inside who have connections into old, decaying industries (such as Hollywood) in order to divert into MAGA-unhealthy positions, as well as an obsessive nature toward specific topics. This pigeonholes those effective alt-media folk into being ineffective or becoming like a loud gong.

Lastly, the things you bring up related to “Elections do not matter because they’re all fraudulent, “Everything is fake and ghey”, “Elections are fake and ghey” etc. is one of the most inflammatory of all of the things that the malign actors say. And it’s one reason why I pulled away from watching a lot of the alt-media folk. I got away because I knew that not everything was as bad as these “newsies” made it out to be. I will say, however, It’s also quite funny that one of the people who I watch the most is a “cartoony fox-girl” who exposes things like DEI and other stuffs. V-tuber news… go figure.

Anyhow, to wrap it all up, I feel like this whole subject that you talked about here has been able to allow me to confirm things about previous folks that I followed and almost no longer do, and to be able to start distancing myself and clean up my world from the last year or so. I was once all in on certain media folk because I seen their beginnings and that I felt they would always be able to know truth from propaganda, but then realized that they are merely human (not “just human”). This has also given me the social permission needed to be public in voicing my opposition and pushback on popular narratives.

As a final thought, some of the earliest propaganda that I experienced was from the “TBN Right”, as I called them, back in the mid-late 90s. The whole “Left Behind” craze, the eschatological obsession of folk and the idea that the end was coming very soon and linked up with things that were not linkable. I think that experience translates to today in that while people are aware of the propaganda, some of it is so sly and tempting, that people will fall into it because their desire is for it to be true. This just goes to show that we’re all… just human.

Again, thank you for this.

So much food for thought. We all like to believe we are operating in discernment but the truth is we are “just human”. I think we’ve all been snookered through the past few years and for me I am accepting of this because this is how we learn to protect our mind and soul. I am certainly more discerning now than I was and this is a good thing. Thank you for sharing your journey through the fog of war, and if I can hat tip you for one thing it would be “understanding is greater than reacting”. Another tell is, If you find yourself agreeing with anyone 100% of the time, you are likely not using your own mind. Thanks Kyle, I don’t think you’re a grifter. 😉

~ many years ago, prior to Donald Trump getting involved in politics, I starting following authors, instead of news orgs. Think of the well-known movie & theater critics of days past- Siskel & Ebert, Rex Reed, etc. Once you got to know their tastes & styles, & could trust that they were sincere & consistent, you had a good handle on if you would enjoy a movie or play despite their criticism or praise. In other words they had a consistent point of view that could be discerned & related to. I look for the same degree of (unfoolish) consistency, clear thinking & world view from my pundits & commentators. I spend most of my time (& money) w/those whose values, perspective & insights add to a deeper understanding of our current condition. Just as w/stocks and politicians, I resist "falling in love" w/pundits; considering them like garden tools: I use them until they break, become unuseful, or betray my trust. Some trusted voices leave the field (Shem!), others retreat to odd corners (Wictor!), and some, unfortunately, are struck by misfortune (Scott!). Through it all I refine my own understandings, beliefs, & actions in regard to new data; especially data from trusted sources which challenges my stances or views. But never my values, faith, or understanding of the Constitution and our relations as people with Christ as my savior. Humility, Grace, Charity, & Love are my personal touchstones, which I admit I don't always live up to. I'm willing to forgive others, as I forgive myself, for errors & mistakes. For example- Rich Baris. I believe his intense reaction to the Iran bombing may be a consequence of his serving in gulf wars & his feeling betrayed (& PTSD that followed). I'm less concerned w/labeling to one group or another, at least until I see a pattern beyond one-offs or occasional disagreements. That said, discernment first & last. Read the original documents (Thanks Kyle!) and maintain a longer historical perspective (I'm studying ancient Rome thru The Learning Co courses- reading The Aeneid now). And although fickle Polonius mouthed the words, Shakespeare wrote them: ‘This above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.’

and ‘Give every man thy ear but few thy voice,’. ~

Kyle. This was an insightful episode on a personal level for me. Not so much the grifter aspect, although it was a great refresher. I’ve been in a bit of an information overload mixed in with some personal things I’m going through so, I chose to check out for a while and try to clear out the noise. This latest episode is one of the first I’ve listened to since I checked out. It has helped me to clear out some of that noise.

The comments you made in the last 20 minutes hit me on a very personally level and I want to re-listen to them to better understand what I can glean from them. I can say that what you said touched something in me that I want to explore deeper and how it relates to what I’m experiencing personally.

I wish to thank you for your insight and ability to touch your listeners with it.

Kyle, gotta fan boy a little bit.

You’ve poured a batch of ingredients into a pot to make an incredible stew. I mean only the good stuff. The garbage grifters don’t make the grade. It’s a foundation of credibility and evidence that is compelling and brave. You just exposed the codex that has made these fair weather friends millions.

The smart ones like Dan, Kash, and true MAGA do know this truth. Certainly DJT is 5 moves ahead of all of the fakers.

Thanks for going out on a limb to say the words that MANY are thinking to themselves. When they ask themselves, why did he or she just say that?

It’s a flash of discernment that we must not question, but rather magnify. MAGAnify.
